I’m Janice!

And I’m a caregiver.

Navigating health and social systems, coordinating service delivery, attending care plan meetings, interpreting service jargon...driving to medical appointments, pushing wheelchairs, maneuvering walkers, adjusting gait belts...sleeping nights on hospital recliners, spending days in intensive care waiting areas...shopping, cooking, cleaning, running errands, hiring help...bathing, assisting with toileting, administering meds...praying, encouraging, holding hands, wiping away tears...

I have done it ALL.

Growing up on a farm in the southern United States, I saw people looking out for those around them – rejoicing in each other’s victories and reaching out to lend a hand when folks were struggling. I learned that no one should go through life alone, that people who can’t speak need to be heard, and that people who don’t even know what to say deserve a voice.

I am blessed to encourage caregivers through SHAMMAH’S TOUCH, a charitable non-profit organization whose mission is based on the biblical truth OUR LORD IS THERE.

Shammah’s Touch partners with Vessels of Comfort Ministries which assists those experiencing crises or life-changing events.
